Hybrid Cloud emerging as the culmination of the Cloud journey? – Hybrid Cloud Survey Results 2013

A recent survey commissioned by Rackspace Hosting and conducted by Vanson Bourne investigated the use of public, private and hybrid clouds. Hybrid cloud seems to emerge as a preferred solution for those currently operating either in private or in public cloud. The hybrid cloud environment seems to provide all the benefits of the cloud but at an even more compounded level. These are reduction in cost and complexity, greater performance and reliability and flexibility. An added attraction is the increase in control that the hybrid cloud provides, leading to better security; which has always been a point of contention for businesses making the decision to deploy on the cloud.
